This project aims to develop an iWatch-based safety system to enhance women’s security and confidence when traveling alone at night. With crimes like robbery and assault peaking between 9 PM and 3 AM, the system integrates real-time safety alerts, remote companionship, and emergency assistance to provide instant risk detection and quick access to help. By leveraging iWatch’s capabilities, it offers proactive protection and psychological security, empowering women to navigate nighttime environments with greater confidence.

Background
According to a World Bank report highlights that over half of women feel unsafe when traveling alone after dark. This widespread sense of insecurity reflects the potential risks present in nighttime environments. Criminal activities, including robbery, sexual assault, and attacks, often increase at night. For instance, some reports indicate that certain types of criminal activities peak between 9 PM and 3 AM.
Problem Statement
With the potential dangers present at night, an increasing number of women are apprehensive about traveling alone after dark. There is a pressing need for solutions that not only reduces the likelihood of women encountering danger at night but also enhances their psychological sense of security.
HMW Question
